The Genexpert is a new test for tuberculosis. It can find out if a person is infected with TB, and also if the TB bacteria of the person has resistance to one of the common TB drugs, rifampicin. The Genexpert diagnosis TB by detecting the presence of TB bacteria. The test is a molecular TB test which detects the DNA in TB bacteria.
